Man – Dance Party
1917 men. All together. Dancing.
Man – Dance Party will bring together 1917 men in Lapua to dance together in celebration of the centenary of Finnish independence. The Dance Party will be given two performances and fill the town of Lapua with dance. During the event weekend, there will be a wide range of local cultural and culinary experiences on offer. The event also includes a Dance Information Fair for anyone interested in finding out more about dance and how to get into it.
Here is an event where manly men are allowed to dance and laugh. The event is about enjoying the freedom of dance, togetherness and friendship between people of all ages.
The idea for a men’s dance event came from Rakvere, Lapua’s twin city in Estonia. At Rakvere, the event has been arranged for several years and attracts thousands of men to participate.
In this dance event, the centre stage is for men to throw themselves into the world of dance. Together.
