100 Acts for gender equality
NGOs, companies, municipalities and other communities make new and concrete acts to enhance gender equality. 100 Acts for Gender Equality creates a sustainable Finland ready to step into the next century.
In practice and as an example, the act can be increasing the number of members of underrepresented sex in positions of trust, supporting the use of paternity leaves, increasing the transparency of salaries, allocating services to migrant women or enhancing the standing of sexual minorities.
The project’s network consists of various partners, such as YLE, Association of Finnish Local and Regional Authorities, City of Helsinki, Helsinki Police Department, Network of Finnish Women Members of Parliament, Women’s Network of Disability Organizations and 25 member organizations of The National Council of Women of Finland, including The Finnish Nurses Association, MONIKA – Multicultural Women’s Association, Finland and Women’s Line in Finland. All the women´s associations of the political parties represented in Parliament take part to the project as well.
100 Acts for Gender Equality is a process that creates the room for the whole nation to be diverse and yet together.
